Third Party Fulfillment which we call “3PF” is an exciting part of our ever changing business at All Interactive Distribution. It is a comprehensive system aimed at providing a ‘one stop solution’ for on-line retailers. Our unique 3PF service is used by a large number of clients including some of Australia’s best on-line retailers – many of whom are household names!

3PF has been designed to help make online ordering via your website a fully automated process, whereby your customer places the order through your website and A.I.D. fulfils that order by shipping the goods direct to your customer as though they came from you directly!

From there, it is just a simple process to conduct an on-line transaction

• A.I.D. receives an order file via File Transfer Protocol (FTP) from the client.
• A.I.D. processes the order, creates a client specific packing slip and picks the items.
• A.I.D. ships the order to the customer via the Australia Post ELADS or E-Parcel system and simultaneously creates a ‘Ship Confirm’ file confirming this status.

A dedicated 3PF Administration Website is available for viewing each orders status, generating reports and various other useful tools. Eligible account holders are entitled to trade discount on all purchases.

Since its introduction some years ago, the distribution of data has grown to become a very important part of our business.

With this in mind, earlier this year we started developing a better delivery system and a better quality of information that is simple to implement. The result of this work was the introduction of our XML based feed service... All new data customers are now implementing this XML based service.

One of the best features of the new service is the way it utilises a simplified pull model for data retrievable, and as such, no longer requires a dedicated IP address and ftp service access. With this simplified pull model you are able to create your own data retrieval timing intervals and only need to receive updates since your last retrieval. This leads to less processing time and data transfer. We have also kept the image transfer separate, but unlike before, images are able to be pulled at your discretion and more than once should the original transfer fail. Images can now also be resized or even watermarked.

The quality of the data was another of our main focuses, so with that is mind we took the following action….. We have expanded our purchasing team from five to an eight and included data quality as one of their key responsibilities. We have also hired an additional two data entry people, whose sole job is to key on the latest information and who are responsible for updating back catalogue information to ensure data integrity.

The data contains detailed information on more than 14,000 products, which is updated with an average of 500 - 1000 new products and their associated information each and every month.

We now believe that the integrity of our data is the best in the business...
